Welcome to Cobram & Barooga
Please note that Horseshoe Beach (off River Road Cobram) has been closed today 21st July due to minor flooding. We will advise when it reopens
Cobram Barooga is situated in the heart of Victoria’s ‘Food Bowl’, and is home to some of the most picturesque sections of the mighty Murray River.
Visitors are captivated by the lifestyle, with wide sandy beaches, towering gums and native bushland which blend together to create this unique holiday destination.
Golfers have long been challenged on the Cobram Barooga Golf Course, and the 36 holes on the Old and West courses keep visitors coming back again and again.
Australia’s largest inland beach, Thompson’s Beach, is easily accessible from the centre of town and is a great spot to soak up the tranquility of the river, meet for a BBQ or picnic and have a hit of beach volleyball or cricket. It is also the perfect spot for hikers to head out to explore Quinn Island.
Cobram Barooga is the perfect place to base a tour of the region’s Farm Gate Trail, and is a magnet for holiday makers – golfers, anglers, campers, swimmers, kayakers and water skiers all come to enjoy this piece of paradise. Discover the region using bikes, boats and canoes, or simply stroll through the bush and drop in a fishing line.
